Social Aspects

Considering the social aspects of sustainability means centering humans. The human rights, such as the inviolability of human dignity or the option of a free development of ones personality, are taken as a basis. Thus, exploitation, child and forced labor are in irreconcilable conflict with sustainability. That way, the social aspects not only demand social equality, safety, fair payment, and the option of further education, but also dedication to the common good. (cf. Schaltegger, Herzig, Kleiber, Klinke und Müller, 2007)
