With a lot of curiosity, three classes of third graders from the Fritz-Reuter school, Zarrentin visited VARIOVAC on the 29th of June, 2022. The grade schoolers were allowed to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the everyday work of the production and to get to know the operating principle of a packaging machine.

The popular experiment with the chocolate-covered marshmallow was a highlight for the kids. In the experiment, a marshmallow is placed in a vacuum chamber machine. When the process of vacuuming is started, the air from the marshmallow wants to escape, and the marshmallow expands. This illustrates the function of the vacuum process in a packaging machine in an easy and fun way.

As a thank you for the interest of the pupils and the participation, all kids got a VARIOVAC gym bag with small presents. As a big employer in the region, VARIOVAC bears responsibility - not only for currently gainfully employed persons, but also for future generations. We want to be an active participant in presenting kids with employment prospects early on and, thus, counteracting the skill shortage, as well as strengthening the industry and the location Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
