Visit from the Lübeck University of Applied Sciences

On June 23, we were able to welcome students from the Lübeck University of Applied Sciences at VARIOVAC.

During a tour around our milling center and production, given by Managing Director Jürgen Füllbeck, the students were able to gain new experience on the subject: “packaging of food and non-food products”.

Sustainable packaging attracted a great deal of interest. Jürgen Füllbeck illustrated recycling in connection with mono materials, various composite materials and #paperinsteadofplastic. What is sustainable and why, how can consumers orientate and decide on the market. An exciting discourse arose for everyone involved. True to the motto: "Be aware - be VARIOVAC."

The students were then asked to work a little bit themselves - they filled the thermoformed packaging in the loading area of an Optimus Medical machine with small goodies to take with them. All in all, a special day for everyone involved. It was fun passing on knowledge to interested and motivated young people. As a regional employer, it is very important to us to set new impulses for young people and to show them as diverse professional perspectives as possible.

Special thanks for the possibility of conducting this excursion to Professor Arne Pietsch and the lecturer Bernd Arnold.
