On June 28th, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from the Industrial Engineering program for the Food Industry at the Technical University of Lübeck to VARIOVAC PS SystemPack GmbH. The participants were in for an exciting and educational day with us. After a brief introduction, our International Sales Manager, David Toll, guided the students through our manufacturing and production facilities. We also demonstrated our packaging testing devices, which inspect the seal integrity of modified atmosphere packaging.

The topic "Packaging Materials in Trend – Monomaterials and Paper" garnered significant interest. David Nagel, a member of our application engineering team, led the presentation and discussed recycling. What does recycling mean? What is a monomaterial? And how is recycling implemented in practice? These questions sparked lively discussions, perfectly aligning with our motto: "Be aware – be VARIOVAC."

Afterward, there was a hands-on session where the students had the opportunity to package small takeaway gifts using mono-PE and paper materials on a thermoforming machine.

All in all, it was a special day for everyone involved. We thoroughly enjoyed sharing our knowledge with such interested and motivated young people.
